August Highlights

  • All month:  Summer reading program continues until Aug 31!
  • Thurs, Aug 6 at 2pm OR Sat, Aug 8 at 10:30am - STORYTIME + ACTIVITY featuring  Heartwood Hotel Book 4: Home Again (See below for more details.)
  • Wed, Aug 12 at 5pm:  FAMILY TRIVIA NIGHT:  ALL ABOUT ANIMALS + book signing with local nonfiction author Autumn McClellan -- details coming soon!
  • Tues, Aug 18 at 10:30am - LAST MUSICAL STORYTIME featuring back-to-school stories and songs performed by local talent Anya McCullough
  • Thurs, Aug 20 at 2pm OR Sat, Aug 22 at 10:30am - LAST HEARTWOOD HOTEL STORYTIME + ACTIVITY featuring  Heartwood Hotel Book 5: Family Forever (See below for more details.)

Summer Reading Program

Earn up to $15 Enchanted Bucks and the chance to win our end-of-summer raffle prize!

How to participate:

📚 Pick up your summer reading log + short book review form at the bookstore, starting Friday, May 29.
📚 Read for 600 minutes. Review one book.
📚 Return your completed log + book review and earn $5 Enchanted Bucks to spend at the bookstore.👏
📚 Repeat to earn more bucks. (Max of three logs total per participant.)

✨ Bonus:  Turn in a total of 3 logs + 3 book reviews to enter our end-of-summer raffle!

Additional details:

➡️ Read-alouds count!
➡️ Up to $15 Enchanted Bucks may be earned from June 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026.
➡️ Enchanted Bucks may be spent at the bookstore (similar to our Enchanted Rewards). They are not redeemable for cash.
➡️ Enchanted Bucks are valid June 15, 2026 to September 30, 2026.

We're featuring the Heartwood Hotel chapter book series all summer long!

Storytimes + activities. Join us every other week on Thursday afternoon or Saturday morning for a cozy storytime + activity, featuring the Heartwood Hotel series. Each week, we’ll read the first chapters of the feature book, kicking off a new woodland adventure. And, don’t forget to count each storytime in your summer reading log!

Note:  The reading and activity will be the same on Thursday and Saturday.

Book discount. As part of the Heartwood Hotel summer feature, Books 1 - 5 will be 10% off from June to August 2026. (Book 6 pre-orders are excluded.) Shop the series ...
