  • Wed, July 15 at 4:30pm - Middle Reader BOOK CLUB GATHERING to discuss The Unlikely Tale of Chase and Finnegan (spots are limited -- contact us to register)
  • Tues, July 21 at 10:30am - MUSICAL STORYTIME featuring summer adventure stories and songs performed by local talent Anya McCullough
  • Wed, July 22 at 4pm - FAMILY ADVENTURE NIGHT with Traveling Teacher Joshua Smalley (details to come)

Summer Reading Program

Earn up to $15 Enchanted Bucks and the chance to win our end-of-summer raffle prize!

How to participate:

📚 Pick up your summer reading log + short book review form at the bookstore, starting Friday, May 29.
📚 Read for 600 minutes. Review one book.
📚 Return your completed log + book review and earn $5 Enchanted Bucks to spend at the bookstore.👏
📚 Repeat to earn more bucks. (Max of three logs total per participant.)

✨ Bonus:  Turn in a total of 3 logs + 3 book reviews to enter our end-of-summer raffle!

Additional details:

➡️ Read-alouds count!
➡️ Up to $15 Enchanted Bucks may be earned from June 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026.
➡️ Enchanted Bucks may be spent at the bookstore (similar to our Enchanted Rewards). They are not redeemable for cash.
➡️ Enchanted Bucks are valid June 15, 2026 to September 30, 2026.

We hope the book club will be a welcoming space where young readers can discover new titles, connect with other young book lovers, and enjoy the exchange of thoughts and ideas!

Additional details:

  • We're starting with one monthly club meeting and will expand as the club grows.
  • A regular book club gathering schedule will be posted after July 15.
  • Club members will suggest and vote on future book club picks.
  • Registered participants receive a 10% discount for purchasing book club picks.

Storytimes + activities. Join us every other week on Thursday afternoon or Saturday morning for a cozy storytime + activity, featuring the Heartwood Hotel series. Each week, we’ll read the first chapters of the feature book, kicking off a new woodland adventure. And, don’t forget to count each storytime in your summer reading log!

Note:  The reading and activity will be the same on Thursday and Saturday.
