About the contributor(s)

Nhung N. Tran-Davies is a physician, author, mother of three, and an advocate for social justice in education. She was born in Cà Mau, in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam and, at the age of five, her family was sponsored to go to Canada as refugees from the Vietnam War. She writes children’s stories that convey the humanity in our lives. Her books have been shortlisted for the Alberta Literary Award, Red Maple Award, Blue Spruce Award, and TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award.

Xuan Le is an illustrator based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. After graduating with a degree in graphic design from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts, she pursued a full-time career in illustration, focusing on picture books. Her artwork is inspired by nature, often featuring people or homes nestled in stunning landscapes. In her spare time, Xuan enjoys experimenting with paper crafts and various materials around her home, adding a fun twist to her creative projects.
