Silvia López was born in Cuba and moved to Miami, Florida when she was 10 years old. For nearly four decades, she served hundreds of children as librarian in schools and public libraries in Miami-Dade County. Silvia became a published author in 2018 with the release of her picture book Just Right Family: An Adoption Story. She is also the author of My Little Golden Book About Frida Kahlo.
Nomar Perez was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. He moved to the U.S. at the age of 10, but the amazing colors, sounds, and flavors of his Puerto Rican culture have continued to influence him throughout his artistic life. He studied computer animation and painting at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and has been an illustrator and designer ever since.
